Organization Integration Announcement: Careers Industries Integrates with VARC

VARC, a leading disability service provider based in Viroqua, WI, is thrilled to announce the integration of Careers Industries, located in Racine and Burlington, WI, into the VARC family, effective July 1, 2024. This strategic integration represents a major milestone in our ongoing commitment to enhancing services and support for individuals in need within our community.


This integration marks a significant step forward in enhancing the quality and breadth of services available to individuals with disabilities and their families. By joining forces, the organization will be well-positioned to meet the evolving needs of the community and provide comprehensive support in a more efficient and impactful manner.

The integration will result in several key benefits for service participants, employees, and stakeholders, including:


Expansion of service offerings: VARC currently serves communities in and around the counties of La Crosse, Vernon, Juneau, Richland, Sauk, Adams, and Columbia. The integration will expand to include service reach to the communities in Racine and Walworth counties. By pooling resources and expertise, the organization will be able to offer a broader range of services and supports to individuals with disabilities, including vocational training, job placement, community integration, and more.


Enhanced Resources: The combined expertise, resources, and infrastructure will enable the provision of more comprehensive and effective services to all stakeholders.


Enhance Advocacy and Outreach: Together, we will have a stronger voice in advocating for the rights and needs of individuals with disabilities. The organization will also be better positioned to engage with stakeholders, raise awareness, and expand outreach efforts in the community.


Continued Excellence: Both Careers Industries and VARC have a long-standing commitment to excellence, quality, and innovation. This merger will build upon that legacy, ensuring that we continue to deliver the highest standards of service and support to our clients.

Founded in 1975 by a small group of parents and educators in Viroqua, WI, VARC is a not-for-profit organization that has since expanded its mission to provide a comprehensive array of services for individuals with varying abilities.
