VARC's Business Partners Awarded Inclusive Employer Status

Over 30 businesses in central Wisconsin received VARC's Inclusive Employer Award for their commitment to inclusivity in the workplace. This esteemed roster of organizations actively participates in VARC's Supported Employment Program, which is dedicated to providing employment opportunities to people with disabilities.

VARC is celebrating these companies by awarding them a personalized certificate commemorating their inclusivity, and a specially designed "We Are an Inclusive Employer" sticker that businesses can place on their doors.

The Supported Employment Program at VARC was designed to link clients with job opportunities within their neighborhoods. Clients obtain internships and shadowing opportunities in various employment settings within their community, receiving job preparation, onsite coaching, and skill assessments. This program would not be possible without these partnerships with local businesses.

"I love being able to recognize these businesses partnering with VARC's Supported Employment Program. They offer such a wealth of employment opportunities and experiences to our clients with disabilities, and the positive ripple effect of their compassion is incalculable. You can see that the employers really take pride in this partnership—I can't wait to see those stickers everywhere!" – Kelly Dersham, Assistant Director of Client Services

VARC is grateful to have relationship ties within the community, and appreciates the inclusivity and dedication of these organizations:
